Concierge Medicine vs. Medical Concierge.

Two models, one word in common — and a very different job. An interactive read.

People use the phrases concierge medicine and medical concierge interchangeably. They shouldn't. One is a retainer relationship with a primary-care doctor. The other is an independent navigator — an advocate whose only job is to find you the right care, wherever in the world it lives.

If you've ever paid an annual fee for same-day GP visits, that's concierge medicine. If you're facing a difficult diagnosis and want someone to vet the world's specialists on your behalf, that's a medical concierge.

— When To Choose Which

01

Choose concierge medicine when…

  • You want same-day access to one trusted GP in your city.
  • Your care needs are largely preventative and routine.
  • You value continuity with a single physician over network breadth.
02

Choose a medical concierge when…

  • You're facing a complex diagnosis and need an independent read.
  • You want to compare specialists across countries, not just cities.
  • You need someone with no commercial ties to any clinic.

The two models pair well. Most of our clients keep their concierge GP — and call us for everything the GP can't.
